Top 5 Most Popular Content Management Systems for Credit Union Websites
Most credit union websites today are built on top of either commercial or open source content management systems. We performed an analysis of credit union websites throughout the country to identify which content management system each website is using and have identified the top five most popular commercial and open source content management systems credit union websites use as of October 2020.
Credit Unions Over $1 Billion in Assets
Among credit unions over one billion dollars in assets (our smallest group at only 358 credit unions), WordPress is the most popular with a 16% market share. One of our favorite enterprise platforms, Kentico CMS, occupies the second slot with 11% market share, with Drupal and Sitefinity close behind. In this group, there is a large number of different CMS platforms in play, so while WordPress is the most popular, big credit unions appear less likely than their smaller peers to choose it.
